It has been suggested that the Butt Lane Community Centre is to close after a local management committed that was made up of mainly Labour Party members voted to close this local community facility.
This bizarre decision by the Labour Party seems to show up how they treat the local residents of Kidsgrove. This information comes days after Labour won the Newchapel Ward seat in Kidsgrove, further strengthening their grip on Kidsgrove Town Council. Kidsgrove Town Council Labour Party Leader Margaret Astle has not made any comment on this story and judging by past standards she will continue to ignore any requests we make to her.
Staffordshire County Councillor Mary Maxfield has told the Whitehill Online Forum Boards that when Newcastle Borough Council was pushing for its 3 borough Councillors (2 Labour and 1 Lib Dem) to attend the Butt Lane Community Centre committee meetings, which they had always been excluded from in the past, the Butt Lane Community Centre committee voted to close the centre.
This main Butt Lane Community Centre committee is mainly made up of Kidsgrove Labour party members, which goes against the message they have spent trying to convince Kidsgrove residents they want no cuts to the area. This is a strange way to treat the people of Butt Lane and Kidsgrove.
