Kidsgrove Pet Shop in Market Street is to close after 35 years of trading in the local area. This will not only be a blow to the many pet owners in Kidsgrove but also raises questions about the future of the high street in Kidsgrove, with another long standing business leaving the area.
It is not clear what will happen to the shop in the future, however it is being reported that they have received an offer they can't refuse for the building. Only time will tell what will happen to this prime central location in Market Street, Kidsgrove.
In a post written on the organisations Facebook page it read; "Hello to our lovely and loyal customers who we have had the privilege to serve. After 35 years we will cease to trade shortly and would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the years and for the lovely messages of best wishes that we have received recently.
Our time is being spent increasingly in other ways that we can assist the people in our community and the time has come to wind up the business. Paul Condliffe our wonderful manager over the years is staying in the pet trade and will be able to continue serving you - please feel free to ask him for details. We would also like to thank all our team members over the years we have enjoyed some great times together but all good things must come to an end. There has been a lot of speculation of what will happen to the premises and unfortunately we cannot discuss this at the moment, however we have simply been made an offer that we cannot refuse."
