Former Kidsgrove Police Station has finally been placed for sale by the Staffordshire Police Authority. The building which used to house Kidsgrove Police and more recently the Dog Handling unit has been listed for sale with Butters John Bee with the asking price of £225,000.
The former Kidsgrove Police Station is described as “prominently located and accessed off Ravenscliffe Road which is located close to the main junction with Long Row and Liverpool Road. The property is approximately 3 miles from A500 'D' road and 6.6miles from the M6 J16”.
“The property is two storey with single storey sections, all under flat felt roof, plus a modern detached annex building with a pitched tiled roof located at the site entrance. The site area is 1.25 acres with onsite parking. The rear section is an embankment.”
It does not appear that the building is being sold with any planning conditions attached to it, something which could limit interest in the building. It will be interesting to see what comes of the former Police building, with some Kidsgrove residents suggesting the site would be ideal for a smaller retail business.
