Roadwork’s due on Major Kidsgrove Route

kidsgrove liverpool roadKidsgrove residents should prepare for disruption when planned BT roadwork’s start on the junction of Mount Road and Liverpool Road in Kidsgrove.

According to the advanced details, these roadwork’s have the potential to cause massive disruption and will also see road closures in place. The work is set to start on the 16 April and will be completed by the 18th April 2013.

These works will be to enable “the opening of 3 carriageway structures to allow joining works to existing underground telecommunications cables situated in existing jointing chambers. No excavations.” It has been suggested in our forum that possibly this is related to the Fibre Optic roll out which is currently taking place in Kidsgrove. If this is the case, then this could see the northern end of Kidsgrove fibre enabled.

We are unsure on the timings of these works as previous work by BT has taken place in the evening, minimising traffic disruption.

It is the road outside of the old Police Station that is closed for 2 days. The sign went up yesterday.
