Kidsgrove Carnival Next Saturday

Kidsgrove Carnival 2012Kidsgrove Carnival takes place one week today in Clough Hall Park, Kidsgrove. Kidsgrove Carnival in 2012 will be bigger and better if the organisers turn their plans for the well-respected Kidsgrove event into fruition. Kidsgrove Carnival is organised by a separate Kidsgrove Carnival Committee and not Kidsgrove Town Council, something which truly shows the dedication of some local residents to make such an event happen for the good of Kidsgrove.

Kidsgrove Carnival will take place on the 14th of July 2012, in Clough Hall Park. The gates to the carnival will open at 11am, with the prices an exceptionally reasonable £1 per adult and £2.50 for a family of 4. Such a pricing structure really makes Kidsgrove Carnival accessible to all. There will be a procession which will start at 11am from Kidsgrove Town Hall and make its way to Clough Hall Park.

Kidsgrove Carnival will have plenty of events and attractions to keep all of the family entertained. We have been informed that some of the events which have already been confirmed include; dancing troupes, band, Rotary entertainment group, street dancers , land train, face painting, abracadabra, punch and Judy and balloons, owl display, Fire Service crashed car display, crazy golf, bouncy castle and slide, maypole dancers, Community Choir to name but a few activities.

The event will also be supported by Stanworths Fun Fair who will not only be in attendance on the day of the carnival but also open the 3 days prior to Kidsgrove Carnival taking place.

The Kidsgrove Carnival Committee have recently been running a competition with the Kidsgrove primary schools for them to design the Kidsgrove Carnival advertising poster. This has seen an exceptional response with over 300 entries of a very good standard.

Kidsgrove residents no doubt will be delighted to know that Kidsgrove Carnival is taking place once again this year. It is certainly time to pen the 14th of July into your diary or smartphone calendar, if you are of the digital age.
