Jubilee events in Kidsgrove start this morning and continue throughout the bank holiday weekend. Kidsgrove has been gearing up for this Jubilee weekend for a while now, however today is when all of the planning in Kidsgrove stops and the events take place.
Today in Kidsgrove Town Hall, Kidsgrove residents can attend a free concert in the Victoria Hall which starts at 1.30pm. Refreshments are available. Then this evening Kidsgrove Town Hall holds a Jubilee Disco, with music from the 50s all the way through to the 2012. 30 minutes of music from each decade will be played as they make the way through the years. Tickets cost £5 for adults.
Monday sees the Friends of Clough Hall Park Jubilee Hunt. This event will take place on Monday 4th of June, between the hours of 11am and 1pm.
There will be a competition for best dressed royal on the day, with prizes awarded for the various different age groups. The cost to take part in the Clough Hall Park Jubilee Hunt will be £1 per child, with each child receiving a prize, regardless of how many hidden jewels they find in the park. Refreshments are available.
In the evening there will be a lighting of the Kidsgrove Jubilee Beacon, which takes place in Kidsgrove town centre at 10.15pm. Alongside this will be a BBQ. All Kidsgrove residents are invited and this should be a great way to cap off a busy Jubilee weekend in Kidsgrove.
We hope that Kidsgrove residents can find the time to support these local events.
