A free family fun day fit for a Queen will take place at the Borough Museum and Brampton Park on Friday, 8 June from 11am to 4pm, as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Throughout the day families and visitors can enjoy train rides, Punch and Judy shows, balloon modelling, have their face painted and follow the fun trails - all for free.
And enjoy a taste of the seaside with donkey rides for the very first time at Brampton Park (a small charge applies).
Tess Mason, Culture and Arts Manager, said “We’re hoping that local families and visitors to Newcastle will get into the Jubilee spirit and join us for this special event.
“The museum will also be running craft activities along with its exhibitions and museum displays”.
Why not bring along a picnic or get some refreshments in the park – there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
