Kidsgrove Town Carnival will be taking place in 2012 as originally planned. The Kidsgrove carnival Organisation met last night to discuss the plans for Kidsgrove Carnival in 2012, after concerns were raised about the number of volunteers who had offered to help with stage the event.
Kidsgrove Carnival has been revived over the last few years and been an ever popular focal point of the Kidsgrove calendar. Kidsgrove Carnival which takes place annually at Clough Hall Park usually attracts a large crowd, clearly something that is always helped by good local weather.
There had been concerns that Kidsgrove Carnival in 2012 would not take place, however following some urgent emails being sent and requests being made, the Kidsgrove Town Council carnival committee has decided last night that the event will take place. It is noticeable that only ONE Kidsgrove Town Councillor (Paul Waring) is involved in the Kidsgrove Carnival, despite an urgent email being sent to Kidsgrove Town Council asking for the support of Kidsgrove Town Council.
This does raise questions of where are all the Kidsgrove Town Councillors now that it comes to doing something for Kidsgrove? Also where is the Kidsgrove Youth Parliament as this is surly something which they could actively get involved in? Let’s hope that all these groups are going to get involved now they know the event is taking place.
