Cllr Astle Claims Councillors in Charge of Railways?

According to the "Kidsgrove Labour News" which all local residents must have now have received (mine came Tuesday), it appears that Cllr Margaret Astle is claiming that British Rail was sold off by councillors. Clearly this must be a underhand policy from Cllr Astle to increase the local decision making away from parliament and to the humble home of Kidsgrove Town Hall.

I feel we should be congratulating Cllr Astle on such an adventurous idea of use for Kidsgrove Town Hall, however maybe she would be ill advised to consult with Government whip Charlotte Atkins MP - who's office have still not responded to my email reading this issue.

Cllr Astle is using many emotive claims in her newsletter, however all lack the substance which we constantly talk about on this site.  She is providing many quotes, however not what she wants to do about it. This is what the public dislike about election material.

We have on many times invited Margaret Astle to communicate via this site and engage in open and frank discussions - however she constantly declines, favouring her sheltered political website. The offer is still open to Cllr Astle to talk to the people who elected her via this site - however we dont hold out much hope.
